BS Artificial Intelligence

About the Program
The BS Artificial Intelligence program at the University of the Punjab trains students to build smart technologies that can learn, adapt, and solve complex problems.
It is offered through the Department of Information Technology within the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology. The program covers machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, and natural language processing in detail. Students work in dedicated AI labs that feature high-performance GPU systems for intensive model training. Strong collaboration with the National Center of Artificial Intelligence gives students access to current research and funded innovation projects. Practical learning is emphasized through a required internship and a two-semester Final Year Project that focuses on real-world AI applications. The curriculum includes a solid foundation in mathematics and programming over the four years. Students also have the option to choose a two-year Associate Degree exit path.
Key Highlights:
- NCEAC Category-X accredited and HEC recognized
- Integrated exposure to the National Center of Artificial Intelligence (NCAI)
- High-performance AI labs with GPU-based computing resources
- Compulsory internship and industry-focused capstone project
