BS Cyber Security
About the Program
The BS Cyber Security program at the University of the Punjab prepares students to protect digital systems from current cyber threats. It is part of the Faculty of Computing & Information Technology and emphasizes ethical hacking, digital forensics, cryptography, and secure software development.
Students gain practical experience through simulations in a Security Operations Center and work in dedicated digital forensics labs. The curriculum uses a security-by-design approach, combining theory with real-world defensive and offensive strategies. Working with the National Center of Cyber Security improves research and gives students industry exposure. A required internship and a two-semester Final Year Project equip graduates to handle real security challenges. The program also offers a two-year Associate Degree exit option for students who want flexible progression.
Key highlights:
- NCEAC-accredited and HEC-recognized program
