About the Program
The BS Data Science program at the University of the Punjab helps students transform complex data into meaningful insights. Offered through the Punjab University College of Information Technology (PUCIT), the degree blends mathematics, statistics, and modern computing. Students develop strong skills in machine learning, big data analytics, and data visualization using practical tools like Python and SQL. The curriculum focuses on hands-on learning through labs, real datasets, and applied coursework. With access to research facilities, including the National Center of Artificial Intelligence, students encounter the latest innovations. A required internship and a two-semester Final Year Project prepare students for the industry. Graduates are ready for careers in data science, AI, and analytics.
